BANNED BOOKS WEEK : Censorship

is a Dead End

The Slaton City Library celebrated Banned Books Week (September 25th-October 3rd) with a display of challenged and banned books located at the entrance to the library.

During the week, patrons are encouraged to complete the following challenges (#slatoncitylibrary on Facebook and Instagram):

Monday: Speak out about censorship.

Tuesday: Create something unrestricted.

Wednesday: Express the freedom to read.

Thursday: Write about your rights in style.

Friday: Watch, listen and learn from others.

Saturday: Thank those who defend the freedom to read every day.
